Great content, one big (easy to fix) bug
[update] - thanks so much for fixing the bug! I can, finally, enjoy the NS on my iPhone. Thanks!
Excellent quality of journalism but it's infuriating to read on the app because scrolling down always gets misinterpreted as a sideways swipe. As someone with news app development experience myself, this is not a difficult bug to fix. I pay £8 a month and am happy to support your important journalism but please please please fix this. Didn't want to leave the one star but I feel I have no choice...happy to change to 5* once fixed
Not a leftist or simpering liberal
I am neither of the above, but I do enjoy my weekly read of the New Statesman. It’s editorial and commentary are of course biased, but that’s what you expect from a publications such as this. This keeps me in touch with people with whom you view the same events, as I do, but via a different lens. This keeps me healthy and appreciating others points of view. The deeper analysis in the form of their essays, are invariably superb, and the best type of writing that you get in a newspaper or weekly periodical.
I subscribe to the paper version of this simply excellent journal, so the app is a wonderful extension that allows me to skim back over items that I either missed or simply want to re-read. I did ponder the idea of cancelling the Statesman a little while ago but, fortunately the ridiculous idea passed and I and the Statesman continue in our state of bliss.
Couldn’t do without it now.
