Description

This app will tell clinicians which preoperative tests are recommended for adult surgical patients, according to the latest (April 2016) guidelines published by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) in the UK. Upon entry of the grade of surgical operation, the ASA grade of the patient, the system(s) of co-morbidity and the patient’s age, the app will display recommended tests, and tests to consider if clinically indicated.

The app does not override the individual responsibility of health professionals to make decisions appropriate to the circumstances of the individual patients.
