If you subscribe through iTunes, the credit card associated with your iTunes account will be charged at the end of the 7-day trial period, and your subscription will automatically renew every 30 days thereafter unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current payment period. If you do not cancel, your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at a rate of $44.99 per month for our Healthy Weight Program or $89.99 per month for our Diabetes Prevention Program. Mostly great,

The app it’s self is mostly easy and simplistic. I do find it a little annoying when you add a food into a meal time you can’t go back and forth below the different meals to see what you’ve eaten, you have to come out of that the whole section and go back to the home page and then start again. It would be great if you could look up foods to see the calories before deciding on what your going to have, but you can’t do that unless you make it out like you’re going to log a meal.

Over all it’s good though and the program, the information and support are really helping me. There are no meal plans, just good advice, guidance and information to help you learn how and why we make the choices few we do, and how to change those bad habits etc. It’s a science thing. I’m loosing a 1kg a week. I’ve bit survived a diet this long before and it’s no longer such an effort. Definitely worth the money

Motivational weight loss programme

I would highly recommend this app to anyone trying to lose weight, and who starts diets just to lapse.
The major difference between Noom and other programs is how it encourages you to engage more with the plan, you log in daily and are set mini activities, and you have a coach who contacts you twice a week and helps you to set goals. This interaction with the app means it’s at the front of your mind all the time and helps prevent falling off the wagon (as well as helping you get back on).
It rates foods as red, amber and green according to how much bang for your buck you get - maximum volume for minimum calories, to encourage you to fill up on low calorie food.
The weight loss programme in Noom is pretty standard for anyone who has done diets such as Weight Watchers or calorie counting where there’s no restrictions on what you eat, just how much.

Calories settings might result in yo-yo effect!

The app is great with the micro actions, incremental habit changes and coaching! The psychological part of it is really good! 👌🏻
I wish there was a way to sync FitnessPal to it as food lists are not as extensive as they are in FitnessPal - but that is a minor inconvenience.

The only not so great part I noticed is that the app allows me to pick the amount of calories I can eat per day and go as low as 1200 per day. First of all, that is below my BMR which means once I do that my body will go into starvation mode and lower my metabolism rate - I will start burning less calories and plateau very quickly. Anytime you drop calories by 400 to 500 cal your body can react that way. Also even if I manage to lose weight it will come back quickly once I increase calories to be higher then 1200. I know it because I have done that in the past. My coach is lovely but she did not have any advise on that. She did not even suggest having a day where I eat well above my calories to confuse my body a bit and avoid the starvation mode. She left it in my hands to adjust the calories.

If this app is meant to be a way to learn how to loose weight and maintain that for life in a healthy way, then it cannot start from a setting that will set people on a track to yo-yo dieting. Please fix it!
