OneClickdigital Media Manager
By Recorded Books, LLC
Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
Easy to use application to download and transfer Audiobooks from local libraries which use the OneClickdigital lending platform.
What's New in Version 1.4.3
Bug fixes, performance improvements.
Like another reviewer I tried the desktop version because the iphone version was unstable, failed to download properly, made the book disappear, wanted me to sign in when I was miles from a Wifi etc etc. So obvious answer to use the desktop version, transfer to iphone where it is meant to end up as a playlist in MUSIC. I can listen to it fine on my computer but despite it saying the transfer is fine it fails to appear on my iPhone.
I used the old app my library recommended and that all worked fine. I have wasted an hour now and got nowhere. With 90% dreadful reviews you would think they would try and improve it. Shame on Apple for permitting this in their App store!
Digital libraries are doomed
If this company, and their junk applications, are the future of digital libraries in the UK, we are all doomed.
The app doesn't work. The help is attrocious. The people in the libraries know little. Overall, the experience is enought to make people walk many miles to reach the nearest library where they can actually check out a book on good old fashioned CD. It would be quicker than getting this to work.
For something with such a simple (and appealing) concept, it's incredibly frustrating to see how badly it has been implemented.
I tried this since the iPhone app is unusable due to instability, files going missing and now repeated crashing.
Sadly this downloads the files then crashes trying to send them to my phone via iTunes. I’ve tried restarting but get the wonderful message: “Some titles may didn’t be transferred” (sic), reassuring from a company specialsing in books.
