About Ordnance Survey
As Britain’s mapping agency, Ordnance Survey makes the most up-to-date and accurate maps of the country. OS’s digital data also helps governments, companies and individuals work more effectively with the data OS produces touching and connecting the lives of all people living in Great Britain. OS makes over 10,000 changes a day to its geographic database of over 450 million unique geographic features. That is seven updates every minute of every day, which mirrors the constantly changing landscape.
OS is currently experimenting with VR and would welcome your feedback.

Works as a first version.
This mostly achieves what it sets out to do: show the user what the landscape looks like. I have some suggestions:
- The viewing portals are in the correct position but could be a little larger to fill the field of view better (I can see the edges in my viewer, which slightly hurts the immersion).
- I wouldn't expect full interaction but it would be nice if tapping/holding the button increased the movement speed.
- Most importantly: I've never been to Ben Nevis and this makes it impossible to judge the scale. It would make a great difference if the model included some simple climbers - occasional stick figures on the top ridges would go a long way to help understand the landscape.
would be better off watching paint dry 💤
