Not impressed so far

Just downloaded and tried this app. Keep getting message “Sorry we are having trouble grabbing your account information” and get no further.
Of course Ovo now charge for customer service phone calls so I won’t be wasting money telling them. Also just sent me a complicated ‘new terms and conditions’ email to complicate matters.
If things don’t improve soon I won’t be with them long so the state of this app will be irrelevant.

Thanks for the response - at least the app developer takes customers seriously - sadly I value privacy too much to use Facebook or Twitter so won’t be accepting your offer. p.s App now working so may have been a server side issue - a more helpful (less ‘hip’ error message might have saved the hassle).

My thoughts!

I have experienced a few set backs during the transfer of both my energy that took a long time for OVO to notice. Once it was resolved try give excellent service. The only thing I would like them to improve on is that as a pay monthly customer i cannot call them in the evening or on weekends which isn’t great because I work full time week days hours. This means I must use lunch breaks to try to resolve issues. This isn’t very customer friendly. I should be able to call them on evenings and weekends.

Sorry to hear this, Leah. Our Customer Services team are in from 8am to 6pm on weekdays. Outside of these hours, you can always drop us a message on Facebook where the team are available in the evening, and on weekends.

Usage data is now useless

Generally I like the app but in this latest version the energy usage data presentation has been simplified to the point of being totally useless.

Earlier versions displayed the current usage compared with a previous period, or compared against the average usage of other households.

Now all you get is a simple bar graph from which you can see - surprise, surprise - that you use more gas in the cold months than you do in the warm months. It is just meaningless, no markers or actual numbers that would allow meaningful useful comparison.
