Best Purchase I've Made This Year
Best 3 quid I've spent this year. You have indie games with distinct visual styles like Bastion, great puzzle games like SpaceChem, but they all do feel like games, as they should.
And then you have this. This is a completely different ball game: somewhere around the third part of the game, I found myself standing with my eyes closed in the middle of my room, frantically spinning around when I hear footsteps and shooting invisible monsters. I haven't felt anything this real since trying an Oculus a few months back, and being actually able to spin round and shoot things based on sound alone is an experience that left me to immediately write a glowing review here.
If you have two working ears, trust me you owe it to yourself to try this. The sound is amazing, Sean Bean is great, there is actually a surprisingly good story here that comes out about halfway through. The fact that it got extremely good reviews in the press should convince you too, and it is such a shame that despite this the game has gone to sell less than it should. I literally don't think anyone with two working ears would not find this game anything short of mind blowing, and I wish I could offer you a wager if you don't believe me, reader: you will love this.
Pure Amazing
I read the description and liked the sound of this game. Once downloaded, I didn't really know what I would be playing but got straight into it. Straight away you understand how good this game is. I say game, it's more of a interactive story which features your movements. Just hearing the different monsters and noises in each ear can feel very atmospheric and having to turn makes you feel like your really there! A truly amazing game. A must have! Well done developers!
Great concept
I loved the concept. I should have read a little more about it as I am deaf in one ear which made the it too difficult to play. 5 stars though - for those that can hear it's a brilliant idea very well executed and my children loved playing it. Maybe the devs can give us with rubbish hearing a quick visual cue for right and left #WishfulThinking?
