When inspiration happens, put it on Paper. Paper is the best way to capture and connect your notes, photos, and sketches. Create checklists, spotlight details in photos, and sketch diagrams with unbeatable speed and ease — Paper is like a wall of sticky notes for everything that inspires you.

Paper’s swipe-to-style formatting makes creating checklists and notes faster and more fun than any other app. The photo spotlight tool helps you quickly clarify essential details.

Bring text, photos, and sketches together. Keep your ideas organized, and see everything in one place to make connections you can’t see in siloed lists.

Paper’s unique visual notes are designed to help you get your point across quickly and precisely. Paper also lets you share your ideas any way you want to, including as professionally-formatted PDFs, Keynote and Powerpoint presentations.

The original iPad version of Paper is a winner of Apple’s App of the Year and is used by millions around the world. The Universal version adds support for iPhone, in addition to text, photos, and sketching, all beautifully designed for touch. Paper is completely free with no in-app purchases.

What's New in Version 3.3.1

This update fixes a few bugs in the Reorder Spaces dialog, one bug with the Diagram tool, and also ensures that your photos are properly saved when you exit the canvas quickly.

3.0 ruined the app... What a shame!

This used to be an amazing drawing and creativity app... The developers for some reason thought they could not monetize it enough (failed acquisition from Apple?), accepted a seed of funding and faced the growing competition by challenging EVERYONE at once. This app tries (and fails) to be Instagram, Apple Notes, One Note, PowerPoint, Keynote, Snapseed... And forgets that it was UNIQUE, it was Paper, the best at what it was doing, clutter free, intuitive support for immediate creativity... In the future we will see more and more integration with Microsoft (where the founders used to work) and a subscription model for space/storage/sync... Which in a way is already angering legacy users who bought the app and the tools to use it. The outrage at the downgrade in UI usability has been UNIVERSAL, and from a consistent 5-star rating we now see just 1-star complaints. Fiftythree has to realise they made a mistake and go back to the fundamentals of this app... Create a second one for notes and presentations if they believe it will be more popular, but piggybacking on the loyalty of their initial user base hoping to be an instant hit... Simply did not work... Sorry, don't say we hadn't warned you. :-/

Great app

It's baffling why so many people are giving this 1 star. I kinda feel compelled to give a review just so people don't get the wrong impression. If you don't like the new features then don't use them! They're mainly accessed by menus so it's not like you're forced to use them.

Personally, I'd like to see a landscape mode on the 6 plus (I'd say the screen is big enough). Also, there are occasions when is like to add text to an image (rather than below).

Overall, great app. Ignore the divas and give it a try.

Oh No!

Alas still no change... still awful and the developers still aren't listening..... The fact that users loved the original means bad reviews will never go away!!! Original Update Review: This upgrade to Paper 53, is the equivalent of Windows 8 and Classic Coke for those old enough to remember that debacle. I guess we will all just have to wait for the developers to come to their senses. Perhaps they could launch this app as paper 5? and revert 53 to the original. PS.. The issue isn't with the new features, the problem is with the ugly UI.
