Sleeeeeepy
I love this app, but true touts like marmite you will love or hate it. I can't do it for more then 3 minutes then I'm asleep and I had best sleep ever and for the longest time too. I used it last thing at night as I don't need it in the day. My sleep patterns are terrible 2 hours sometimes 3 if I'm lucky. Menopause can kill your sleep well it has mine. So if tried so many apps to help me sleep and most work for an hour or two but after that I'm up but after using this I slept 4 and a half hours. I went into shock when I woke up and realised I had slept that long. So yes it's a dot you follow. But what makes this different from the rest of the meditation apps is you physically are doing something that slows you down slows your mind down. You don't need to hold your app like a phone like other review said . I laid my down on my bed then then just used my finger I did change to middle finger after two minutes because the one I used started to ache a little.. But then I just fell asleep. My only problem with it is when it tells me to close my eyes and well of cause you do peak and it's still saying things in writing so once your eyes close you can't see what it's saying. Crazy right. So they need to sort that out as it could ruin a good app. It worked for me and I am a terrible insomniac or was. Worth every penny to me. Brilliant.
Junk
Likely the very worst purchase amongst over 1000 apps that I've yet made. It is mere bare bones of development - really just a colour cycle and rather average blob animation with minimal soundtrack - and that has nothing at all to do with taijiquan. The 2 person taiji practice is purely tactile, often done with eyes closed throughout to focus on the feeling not our usual sight. This is closer to a scam app, where you are paying money for an app and you little more than touch your screen! As far as 'mindfulness' this it just overly simplistic and really dull ( I have no doubt the EEG readings confirm that). There's nothing relaxing about being told you're 'too fast' rather it should postively mention to 'go slowly'. And switching off these prompts doesn't seem to work at all either. There is no landscape orientation support, so you are forced to hold your ipad as if it were a big phone. Then it tells you to close your eyes - great, now what? - when you open them again you find it is still giving visual-only instructions like 'stopped' or 'too fast'!? It's just ill-thought through junk.
Sublime
I guess this what I'd call a "Marmite App". You'll either love it or you won't see the point at all. For me this is a fantastic app. What's most extraordinary about it is that once your eyes are closed and your finger is just moving over the screen it feels like your phone is the size of a football field. And it is sublimely relaxing. This is a meditation app that I'll be using regularly. The music is great too. For those who expect instant gratification and fast-paced action, perhaps keep searching...
