So easy to use but one major, worrying snag

I love it's ease of use. But recently, I mistyped an email address by one letter. I realised rightaway and contacted PayPal through my phone app. No reply. And even though the money remained unclaimed, PayPal still deducted the funds from my credit card. How is this possible? I had to send 4 emails and eventually got my money back but surely a bug as the blurb states that money will only be taken once the seller confirms purchase, which on this occasion, they didn't, because the email address didn't exist. Has made me very nervous of future transactions. If the email was null and void, how did the deduction make it all the way to my bank account. Still no explanation from PayPal.

Beware of using for other than eBay

Bit of a snag on the app. You can't see your address or account details. My address was showing as a previous address and when I made a purchase on Facebook PayPal sent a notification to the vendor giving my old address. So, I paid £25 to send a parcel to my old address (which apparently didn't arrive). It's proved almost impossible to get my old address taken off on the desktop site. Very handy for eBay, but I don't recommend for anything else. Plus, you go around in circles trying to get help. I'm only keeping my account active in case I need something off eBay, and won't purchase from PayPal only vendors except if I have no alternative. Be warned!

Convenient but could be better

The sign in process still feels clunky and, if I open the app and put in password then multitask to another app, it doesn't kick me out like my mobile banking app would, which to me suggests if someone got my phone while the app was still open, they could clean me out. Minor issue I guess but one worth noting. Other than that, I love Paypal generally.
