Use your iPhone as a step counter. Pedometer++ lets you easily keep track of your daily and weekly step counts, without any impact on your battery life. You can view your progress each day from either the iPhone app, Today View widget or Apple Watch app.'s iOS Health & Fitness App of the Year.

** Requires an iPhone 5s or newer **

For best results make sure that you keep your iPhone on you as you move throughout the day, ideally in a trouser pocket close to your hips.

Pedometer++ integrates with the Health app in order to collect and display data collected by your Apple Watch. It can display your step count, walking distance, active calories and heart rate data.

What's New

Version 3.2.6

A little bug fix for a rare situation where pressing the export button can cause a crash in the app.

Recently added:
- You can now transfer your step history to another iPhone. Simply email the export file (Export.steps) to the new iPhone and then open it. Your steps will be merged into the new iPhone's database. The merge process will keep any steps you have taken on your new phone.
- You can now tap the workout screen in the Apple Watch app to toggle between seeing your total daily steps or only the steps you've taken in the current workout/walk.

Colourful reports make it easy to track your steps.

I really like this pedometer app. I got it mainly because it has a widget so I can see my steps easily from my lock screen, rather than having to unlock my phone and navigate my way to Apple Health.

I also like the “rest day” function, that doesn’t scrap your streak if you miss one day a week, seeing as during the weekend I like to have one lazy day to recover. I wish more goal-based apps had that option, as it can be a bit demotivating when you’ve been doing well at something and then you take ONE break or you’re a few under, or you finish it after midnight but it’s declared broken 😭

The only thing I wish for from this app is that it would integrate with things like fitbit. I’m not allowed to have my phone on me while I work, and even if I were, I don’t always have pockets, so having a wearable is useful for me. I guess I can use the fitbit app to track my steps, but I prefer the simplicity of this app, the layout, and the widget.

This app is really useful and it works well. I really like how in the top left corner you can see all of your consecutive days of reaching your goal and your number of lifetime steps etc. A really nice feature that you don't see on most pedometer apps is the bar charts on the main page. These are either green, orange or red depending on how many steps you have done versus your goal. The only thing that I find annoying is that on my phone it doesn't register flights if stairs that I have climbed so it always stays at 0 on the goals page. But I vet all this app is really good and the best that I have bought.
