Absolutely disgusted and surely cannot be legal
The parking for 1 hour was 70p yet I have been billed £1.10 and have no way of unsubscribing from this company - they have my personal and payment details and I cannot delete my account.
You download the app to pay the parking. Nowhere does it say that you are charged 20p each time you pay by app - certainly not in the car park and not on the app until you've entered all the details and hit confirm. Then you're billed for 2 text messages at another 20p for them to send you the text that is your only evidence of paying to park and for them to remind you to leave.
At no point are you told you are legally bound by terms and conditions. When I found them in the app they are unreadable - super tiny print that you have to zoom into and push left and right - you can't keep track of where you are to read the next line down, so none of it makes sense and there is too much to read in only 1 hour.
I feel I've been robbed. I can't believe that it is legal for them to take more than the advertised parking fee and with no notice they will take additional costs until after they've done it. Even when I figured out they had auto subscribed me to text fees the app keeps pushing pop up messages saying I will deeply regret unsubscribing. I feel bullied. App is deleted but I fear there is some monthly subscription I can't figure out how to get out of that will just keep taking my money.

Not happy with this app at all. I thought it would make paying for parking easier, it doesn’t!! Hardly ever works and if I don’t have any change I’m stuck. I don’t get email receipts (I previously did, this has now stopped) so I can’t claim any parking back when I use it as work expenses. When parking a full day they charge £4.20, multiply this a few times a week and I’m paying out for work parking that I can’t even claim back. I previously had a problem when registering my card. It wouldn’t delete an old expired one and kept inputting some random card number that wasn’t even mine and then saying it’s not valid. It’s such an infuriating app. Has the potential to be so much better, which is a shame. The contact number is also useless, tried phoning on several occasions and it just doesn’t work. PLEASE sort this app out as when it does actually work it’s so much more convenient as I rarely have change on me
Aside from being the only option to pay for your parking since the machine wouldn't take coins anymore, the registration was frustrating at the very least. It goes through pages of information and only at the very end does it tell you you've made a mistake forcing you start over again. Spent 10 minutes on this circus where it would otherwise be a 3 second affair. Cherry on top was the hidden £.20 transaction charge that you can't opt out of.
Prime example of a monopoly handed over by the council to an incompetent company and inadvertently discourage as many people from parking as possible. The whole ordeal is just a sad excuse for a thinly veiled cost cut.
