Makes the iPad useable with a properly organised multi-level photo collection.

I was shocked to discover that the Apple Photos app can't handle nested folders. I have about 6,000 photos organised by year, event, and sometimes more nested levels. iTunes took forever to sync them to the iPad, the result being an unusable mess. It took ages to remove them too.

Photo Manager Pro has a web browser interface for transferring files, although unfortunately it doesn't support transferring whole folders so transferring a large collection this way would be tedious. But it also has an FTP server, which does support transferring entire folder structures. I use FTP a lot anyway so copying my photos to the iPad using FTP was a lot easier than using iTunes, and very much quicker. And now I have my photos organised the way I like them. Why can't Apple make things this easy?

This app isn't perfect. It's clunky in places and there are some annoying omissions. It needs finishing. But it does make the iPad useable with a properly organised multi-level photo collection, which it otherwise isn't. I gave it 5 stars but I also hope the developer keeps working on it.

Loving this... As a graphic designer and photographer l bought my iPad to make a portfolio and was disappointed with camera roll albums etc... I downloaded Photo Manager Pro and now have albums and photographs that won't disappear even after l delete the camera roll originals. What would make this even better would be to have more colours of folders(deep colours) and to be able to have a choice of cool folder designs/angled/round etc... But Cheers dudes, really recommend this app.

Poor app support

Another update and P2P transfer still not working and the developer still isn't resounding to my emails. Very poor customer service.

I love this app. It is the only one which allows multiple levels of folders. A huge benefit is tha, once you import the photos, they are stored in the app so you don't have to have them in the Apple default app as well. However, the very useful P2P facility has stopped working (despite today's update) and, although I have emailed app support 3 times, they can't be bothered to reply. It would have been 5 stars, but not now
