Excellent
I’ve been using this for a fortnight and I’m already hooked. Easy subject and timetable construction, the template design tool is simple, planning lessons quick and easy. Copying lessons for a week of maths investigation saved time, my GCSE standards are saved, units of lessons are really useful. I’ve added cover lessons to my timetable so as not to forget them, the daily post-it’s are a godsend, and I’ve even started planning for our return after the summer break. Easy, quick, fantastically useful and very pretty. Thank you.

Good, but….
I really like this and have used it for several years, even encouraging several staff members to join. The free version is excellent but recently restarted using Chalk Gold. One of the main reasons for doing this was that it linked my timetable to Google Calendar and any changes I made to my timetable would automatically sync to my calendar. All was great for a while and then, all of a sudden, I could not get my calendar to sync up after making some changes. I tried deleting the link and resetting it but all to no avail. The Help section used to be quite effective but since becoming part of Power Schools I find the whole forum section difficult to find what I am looking for to help deal with this problem. If I cannot get it solved in the next few weeks I will be cancelling Chalk Gold and going back to the free version. It is also disappointing that since being taken over they have now decided to remove the assessment section for recording homework and test results, etc.
Couldn’t be without it !
I’ve used this for a whole year now and with staggered starts and breaks for different years on a 2 week timetable it kept me sane ! I like the ability to copy lessons to multiple classes but it would be ace if you could streamline that so pick up a whole unit and copy it to a different class would save so much time : )
