Stop glorifying animal exploitation, planet rock.
Best rock radio station in the uk, except for that cooking show, we are bombarded every day and in every way, with, 'buy this murdered animal' 'consume this murdered animal', planet rock doesn't need to add to the horror fest, that is the meat and dairy industry the references to 'uncle Ted' are bad enough (Google his past times and political views), you don't play the lost prophets because of what the lead singer did, well maybe start thinking about what nugent does to animals, along the same lines.
Times are changing, people are becoming more aware about the consequences and who suffers, for their choices and rights, I'm sure planet rock cares about all its listeners, so isn't it better to choose a little more care over, less care, especially when it doesn't cost any more.

The app brings playlist, listen again and listen live into an app and saves me from being stuck with the boob company or roaming internet stations endlessly. Credit to the station and its presenters who make my day.
Listen again is really useful.
Like night mode, like alarms.
Have to agree though the video ads that have crept in (for something called Gnoodle? for example) really annoy. I use text to Planet Rock time to time for competitions and pay the due, I have a lot of goodwill, I really appreciate the station. Should I pay to get rid? Maybe that is coming... App needed due to lamentable DAB cover while driving, plus DAB is only MONO FOR A STATION THAT PLAYS PROG ROCK???? Whoops off topic? Maybe not - when you can't use internet because the networks don't provide good enough cover you expect DAB to rescue you - and that anyway is back to front on how it should be. ACTUALLY YES, THINK ABOUT IT: I use this app in the car as UK DAB cover is lame, and on starting I have to either wait for a video to complete (in a car???) or get distracted (as a motorist???)...
What is missing? Why not go greedy:
Stream quality control for insane quality Stereo/Quadro...
... Build your own playlist from favourite songs heard on the app...
... Submit playlist to rock block, or full English, etc
... News feed?
Think the grumble triggered by video ads dropped a star.
Difficult to know what to write as it is early on Sunday and I’ve just guilted myself into submitting a review!! Seriously, though, it takes a lot for me to write an app review, so my apologies to peeps who read these reviews for research, but I’d like to say that I’m attempting to assemble a pithy statement about an app that...
if you love the Planet Rock radio station then...
you should deffo download this app. It’s every bit as good as the station plus the sound quality is way better than my DAT reception AND there’s tonnes of info including:-
the band that’s playing now,
what progs are scheduled,
stuff about the rock world, and...
Well, see for yourself, it don’t cost much, ie nuffink, and you can delete if the mood takes you, though why would you ? ? ?
Cutting to the chase, the APP works really well, the content is extensive, the sound quality is superb. As for the radio station, I leave you to make up your own mind, and using this app is to my mind the best way to assess that. Now... back to enjoying my Sunday. Thanks for listening (!)
