Big fan!

Technology has been taking over and I vowed to get out more in fresh air as a way to rebel against this robot culture. However, artificial intelligence isn’t all bad. It’s been adding an extra level of excitement to my walks and now I have a new relationship to nature I wouldn’t have had access to otherwise. Thank you PlantSnap! Wonderful idea.

Thank you for the kind words, bellathebanana!

Rubbish

paulbof

Tried two images that Garden Answers identified correctly first time but plantsnap got both wrong.

Advice from them “But if you just want to identify Grocery store plants, the free apps will work for you, too.”

Support is good they respond. However the grocery comment is unhelpful because if you want to test against a plant what better way. How many try it against a plant they don’t know and just accept not knowing whether it’s right or wrong.

Hello Paul! We are very sorry you are having trouble! PlantSnap is 92% accurate, so please let us try to help you solve the problem so you can experience all the benefits of PlantSnap. Did you get a chance to watch the instructional video and read the welcome email? If not, please do try that and let us know if it helped. With 320,000 species to distinguish between, framing the photos properly is very important. PlantSnap is much different than the free apps that can identify a few thousand species. Those work OK in the grocery store if you don't want to read the tag on the plant. If you did watch and read and are still experiencing problems, please contact us at support@plantsnap.net...it will only take 2 minutes of your time for us to teach you. Hundreds of thousands of people have great success with PlantSnap every day, and we want you to be one of those people! It will take no more than 2 minutes of your time. We have a full refund policy, and we want you to have a great experience, and your feedback is vital to helping us continue to improve, so please do reach out to us.

Not identified anything

safebet

Tried various plants, the app hasn’t managed to identify one correctly, I have viewed the tutorial and followed this to the letter. Asked for help to identify something on 16th March, nothing back yet. Not great for the £2.99 asked.
I went to google lens this morning, which is FREE, tried 2 plants this morning and both correctly identified. I will be using google lens in future. Unfortunately I have wasted my time and money trying this app.
