Be Realistic!

This is nothing less than a superb app, even at 99pence per month!! Seriously, how many of you 'financially aware critics' drink coffee at the cost of almost £3-£4 per cup? Smoke or buy alcohol after a shift? All will cost considerably more than 99p per month, which incidentally is probably much less than the latest handset and tariff you're using to access ANY app!
Be realistic about your expectations! As a Duty Officer I use this app daily and it is exceptionally good compared to many others, including PNLD which despite its uses is INCREDIBLY difficult to navigate. I have never yet found a better more useful law app. If others have, then they're not using 'Pocket Sergeant' to its full potential. This app is more accessible than Blackstones and a complete set of those are over £100 each year.
If you work in the Police Service today, with the increasing rate of litigation and complaints we all face, you need to know the law, your powers and acts. All of which you'll find in this app. And before any states 'Oh yeah that's fine for you on an Inspectors salary' nearly everyone on my team earn more than me in OT, so forget that argument. Stop whinging, pay your dues. It's better value than Fed Subs!!

Very Disappointed

This was a great app that I used regularly but since the introduction of a monthly subscription on top of the purchase price I will be looking elsewhere.

**Update** Following the Developers Response and having read the reasons why the 99p per month subscription has been applied I understand that running such an app is expensive and extremely time consuming. I still feel aggrieved towards the subscription and will definitely NOT be paying.
The developer has produced a wonderful, helpful and very useful app here but it looks like faithful supporters will now be abandoning in the pursuit of a replacement
I feel a little embarrassed about the introduction of the monthly cost as I recommended this app to so many people who purchased and now also feel annoyed that they have wasted their money.

A shameful app

I bought this sometime ago, willing to pay for it as at the time had good reviews. Found it useful on occasion but didn't use all the time.
Now it has moved to a subscription and the app shuts down on occasion if you refuse to pay (an option you have to decline every time the app is opened), I find the idea morally offensive as there was no mention of a subscription when I bought it.
There are equivalent apps at the same SINGLE price like iPlod which supply same information.
A real shame for what was a good app ruined by a developer who didn't consider the business model. I have read the reason why subscriptions have been added although this is not clearly displayed on the app description but in 'in app purchases'
I will not be subscribing.
