Say hello to the new and improved Pod Point App. Fresh from a makeover, we’ve added new features and functionality, making it even easier to charge your electric vehicle (EV) both at home and on the go.
You can now connect your home charge unit and monitor the energy you’ve consumed. You’ll have access to a full break down of your daily, weekly and/or monthly energy use.
Only want to see rapid chargers? No problem, you can now filter by any combination of charging speeds.
- Search: find and navigate public chargepoints quickly
- Filter: search by selecting a specific charge capacity
- Charge activity: monitor both your home and public charge data in the ‘Stats’ section
- Expenses: download your charging data directly to your email
- Start charging: Initiate charges directly from the app
- Up-to-date information: get the latest chargepoint availability and view public charging tariff information (set by the chargepoint owner)
- Favourites: star your most beloved locations for quicker access
- Account: greater control of your Pod Point settings
- Feedback: report an issue quickly from within the app

Shows incorrect costs
I’ve been using this app for about a week now. It looks great but it’s not calculating the home costs correctly. It IS accurately showing me how much kWh has been added to the car and it IS correctly showing my energy tariff’s pence per kWh. What it seems incapable of doing is multiplying one by the other. My charges so far have “cost” over £9 per charge or have been free! Oh, and the charge time is incorrect too, it appears to get its start times and end times from different time zones.

Called in on Wednesday about charger hogging, 2 identical BMW hybrids had been on the Banbury retail park single pod for over 3 hours, all they could tell me was that they were appearing there regularly, we had to wait over an hour before we could charge our “all electric vehicle”
There philosophy seems to be, we fit and maintain the pod - any other problems are not our concern - tough.
Time will tell which one of the many charging companies survive, hopefully neither of these two.
HOME COSTS FIXED!
Reported an issue via the app but no response. Screen just goes blank when I try to look at any charging point on the map. Useless- can’t charge my car for more than the 15 mins you get without logging in.
FIX FOR HOME CHARGING COSTS ***
Change your tariff to say you do have an Economy 7 meter and just put your rate in the same for day and night. This sorted my home charging costs - just need to be able to charge on the go now!!
