Another great app from Andrew Johnson
I first used the Relax Lite app and have since bought many more. I downloaded this Positivity one a while ago along with a couple of others, and only recently started using it as my 'Get To Sleep' AJ soundtrack! It's been almost three weeks of nightly use, and even from the first morning, I have felt so much happier & more motivated. The relaxation format is slightly different to the others (I like that as I have memorised the beginning of Deep Sleep!), but it still works; I'm normally asleep by the end of the 'stairs'. As I've never listened to it while awake, I have no idea what he says in the main body, so haven't felt the frustration that others have about the supposed inconsistencies. I would suggest to those who've struggled with it, to listen to it as an aid to falling asleep & let the 'brainwashing' happen subconsciously. It has seriously worked for me (I have depression & ME, so very much prone to low moods)
Another Amazing App from Andrew!
This is the lastest of the Andrew Johnson Apps that I have started listening to. I previously have been listening to his confidence and deep sleep apps and being soo impressed with thoes, I have moved onto this. Again I am really please with the effects. It still helps me relax although I prefer the introduction to the confidence, I have learnt so many ways to relax from that I can apply it to this one too. I have been listening to it for almost 3 weeks now and me and the people around me notice a big difference.
I suffer with depression and was having a perticulary bad spell, when I started listening to this. Since then I have been getting up earlier, instead of lying in bed all day. I have also been doing things in the day and really notice myself being a lot more postive. Thank you again Andrew for another amazing App!
Didn't do anything for me
I like Andrews other apps and find them very useful, but this one just didn't do it for me at all. The initial part where you are talked down into a state of relaxation did nothing of the sort, unlike his other apps where I can feel myself sinking into relaxation very quickly. The whole premise behind the main section, where Andrew says phrases that you are then supposed to repeat in your mind, adds an aspect of interactivity to the process which just doesn't tally when you're supposed to be in a relaxed and trance-like state at that point. Then there's the phrases themselves, many of which, in my case are just not true. Ok I must have issues! But either way at the end I did not feel remotely relaxed, in fact I finished feeling very frustrated and almost angry. The exact opposite of what's intended here. Sorry to give this one a bad review but the content and format did just not help me at all.
