Amazing app. Working for me
Non-smoker for 31 days now. I used to be a heavy 30+ a day smoker. This app has helped me so much and I am so grateful. I didn't really believe an app would help me to quit smoking. I read all the testimonials on here and hoped it might help a bit. The first quit day I chose didn't work out - I ended up smoking, after being agitated all day without a cigarette.
Not to be defeated, I listened to the main session for the next 2 consecutive nights then decided to try again. I also read the book Never Take Another Puff by Joel Spitzer. I smoked my last cigarette at 10:45 pm and listened to the main session right after. I woke up the next morning without my usual, frantic, desperate need for a cigarette first thing - I was surprisingly calm and didn't have that mad panic to light up before doing anything else. This has never happened before, a cigarette is the first thing I think of and had to have a soon as I was awake.
I drank cranberry juice for the first 3 days, as it is very acidic and helps the body eliminate nicotine faster. I did have mild crave times (surprisingly not as strong or as frequent as in the past) but these passed by quickly and I used the 3 breath technique when they persisted. I still listen to the main session twice a week and the booster session on the other days. Thank you so much Max, this app has changed my life.

Until may 09, I was a 30 a day roll up smoker and had been for 10 years (I am 28) and on my own I cut down to about 15 a day in may. My wife quit cold turkey back in march 09, so she has wanted me to quit, so come january the 1st I thought why not give it a go and bought this app. The two previous times i tried to quit, I managed to the early evening and cracked! New years day 2010, i did the session and have been smoke free ever since! Amazing! I have done the session once more since. I had to quit because my grandad died at 61 of lung cancer and I don't want to obviously! I love smoking and always will, we have done it for thousands of years and will continue to, but something in this app changes you, i mean I still want to smoke, but something is stopping me. It is hard to describe. He just tells you the usual stuff in the session 'smoking makes you stink' and 'is bad for health' I was almost laughing while hypnotised! But all credit to him, it works! You will not be disappointed!

Every year for the past who knows how many years I am forced to put "stop smoking" in my new year resolutions and every year my wife gets me something "to help". Patches, gum, etc (she got me patches and gum this year). Every year I start on it with good intentions and stick to it for 5-10 days (this year I lit up again on the 9th so not a record setting year!). But my mate got this app and swears by it and after he'd been smokeless for 2 weeks he persuaded me to try it. Now it's only day 7 but I haven't felt like lighting up at all yet. Normally I'm driving people up the wall by now but my wife is being so nice to me it's hard to think of going back to it! Thanks Max for whatever rewiring of my brain this app did - it seems to be working. The wife sends lots of hugs and kisses (she's made me type that!). Now if you just had a lose weight one for the wife (Ouch!)...
