Customer Reviews

Very good & very useful

I nearly gave 4/5 stars because I'm not sure how these fit in with the paper books I've already got and would like more information.

To those who said they're expensive, and I've just bought all the level 5 for £4.99!! That's more expensive than the paper books are!

To those who said the books didn't download, I had to wait a minute for each book to download, - once the padlock opens, touch each purchased book to begin download and just watch the progress bar that appears!

To those who complained about the reading tone, if you click "auto read" or whatever it's called on the very first fronting page, it reads in a normal voice.

Over all, I'm very pleased!

These books are AMAZING! You will not be disappointed. They are engaging. My four year old is throughly enjoying them. They come alive with the background noises and are really interactive. I couldn't recommend a better set of books for someone learning to read. We have brought the lot! We've got the paper books too and these are so much better.

Very poor

To begin with this is much more expensive than buying the actual paper books. The tone of the voice used when tapping on the words is unnatural and does not use the correct expression to suit the context and so the sentences do not flow correctly.
It will be far more educational to buy the real books and share them together, making up your own expressions.
Using real books also teaches children how to handle books properly. iPad apps can be amazingly educational and interactive but I do not feel this app has any benefits over using real books.
