Remixlive - Make Music & Beats 4+

Ok.. Edit:- Now better than ok..

I’ve revisited this app after some time and it has improved.
It’s not quite there yet though, I’m still seeing a lot of bugs here and there. Import is a bit long winded and often displays an error when returning to my iCloud folder. Other cloud options (e.g. Dropbox ), are just broken and it’s impossible to sign in. I’ve also noticed a tendency for pads to ‘lock up’, I.e. I can still hear a sample playing but touching the onscreen pad again won’t turn off the sample. Resetting the app is the only cure when it does this. I do like this app, but still prefer the Novation Launchpad app, which is very similar, ( I just find it more intuitive).

Edit:- revisited again, and I have to say, I'm swayed now.
I purchased the pro features a while ago, the app seems much more stable, and I have been browsing the soundpacks. They are really, really good. There are still things I prefer with Novations app, but the quality of the soundpacks and the pro features of remixlive are excellent, so I'm happy to increase my rating to 5 stars. :)

Great app but could be amazing with tweeks

It’s a great app but with some tweaks it would be amazing. I’ve been creating a song within the app, but I cannot sync or continue with it on my iPad so that for me would be a must. When editing or placing riffs and melodies, it is very clumsy and tends to shoot off left or right. The app tends to forget what sound pack you’re using until you reselect it and then you can select all the beats and rhythms you’ve created with certain sounds. I would say it’s ok to remix pre made melodies and beats on the phone but it’s best suited for a tablet interface. The remix tools don’t offer much and are very simple and limited even though they did an update, maybe it’s because I’m using it on a phone. I used to use launchpad which has similar features with remixing live soundpacks but they change it because it didn’t make the options more available. Also with the effects, you can only use one at a time for the whole song and doesn’t sound all too good when you just want to layer an effect on one track rather than the whole song. The only really important change I would make in the app is being able to sync from device to device, the rest I can live with. Otherwise keep up the great work.

Check this out , especially if you have used launchpad for making music . This allows you to used many different sounds on the panel ,rather than launchpad that only allows 1 per panel. Don't get me wrong launchpad is still one of the best for learning music on , but sadly you are very limited to what you can do. Ok now I have a samsung A6 running this same app but why is it you can have more of the same colour running at same time? Yet with the Apple version of this app you can only have 1 colour of each section ? I love my making music and recently went back to iPad as well as Samsung to see if you could have more of the same colour per track and am somewhat disappointed. Why can you not run the same version on all devices ? Or is it another scam to get the public to buy more equipment to make the most out of their music? Fix this problem why should we have to use the same app on two different devices because I can do more than the other ?

Hi Nuttylad! Thank you for you great feedback. It is also possible to play multiple samples of a same kind (drums, bass,...) on iOS devices. Please go into the parameters (in the main menu) and activate "Multiple mode".
And now you can enjoy playing the way you want 🔥🙂
