Ruined by a long-standing bug (but now I have a workaround)

Latest update.

Long standing bug is back. Honestly Apple - how hard can it be to fix this???

This app would be wonderful. If only it didn't keep disconnecting. The constant disconnecting makes it worse than useless.

Update to my previous review (included below)
I've updated to the latest version (3.0) - and am on iTunes 11 - and this problem hasn't been fixed (well - not quite true - it's fixed if I create a local network from the Mac, but not if I connect to an Airport network with no outside connectivity). With this version though, once it crops up, if I force-quit iTunes then fire it up again, the problem is gone, and Remote is back to its old, responsive self. Factor in the fact that they've brought back the 'stay connected' option, and things are looking up. Now - if they can just get rid of the last bug, I'll be happy to give a five star review again!

Old review follows:
If you try to use this on a network without an internet connection, it causes iTunes to continually pop up an error dialog because it cannot contact the radio tuning service. This makes iTunes utterly unresponsive, so the remote facility becomes useless. Which is a shame, because when it did work, it was a great app. Until this issue is fixed (and it's been an issue for some months now), the app is useless to me.

Does the job

I've spent quite a few hours trying to setup a new "streamer" device and I was informed best load a media server app onto my iMac. Well I'm struggling then I searched on the web and read about this app circa 2011. My iTunes library now talks to me device and I'm accessing all my music from my iPad. I was worried from the reviews about using this, but it does the job. Really well

Is that it for this app then? Will you not be updating it? Here’s a joke for you. I stupidly updated my Apple TV to a generation 4 thinking the experience would be much better than I had, new TV, new remote, right..WRONG, worse thing I have ever done. I’m now unable to see any playlists from ATV on the remote, play, pause, forward track, Back Track, and nothing else. The new remote is just as useless as this too with the inability to play a playlist without having to switch on my TV first....sorry apple but your doing everything to loose a very loyal apple fan..not sure how much more I can bare of this.
