Great content, dreary app
This is the best magazine in the UK for bikers, concentrating on bike news, kit, routes and riding and not on motorsport. Loads of content, well written and interesting.
The app itself is pretty poor in the way it displays the content though. The content is a page-for-page reproduction of the printed magazine, and nothing else. In portrait mode only one page is displayed so pictures are cut in half and the layout is lost. In landscape it presents each two-page spread together but everything is so small it's hard to read.
The Bike magazine app (from the same publisher!) is way better as it actually is an app with much better use of the iPad as a device.
Ride digital magazine issues
This digital version is not to bad once you get use to using it. My main gripe is the initial purchase and download. I bought the bike digital magazine as well and had the same problem. It didn't download my magazine and it was hard and long winded to make a complaint to get the problem resolved. At this moment I am still waiting for the ride version to be rectified and downloaded although the bike version is now sorted. Both magazines come from the same company and use the same app. Just hope it is sorted sooner rather than later. But content is good and enjoy reading it while I am away with work.
A good way to read when working away
A very good way to read your favourite magazine when you work away from home. I still prefer to read a glossy mag but when it can't be delivered to you address this is clearly the next best way to read it. I'll still have the magazines to thumb through when I get home.
