An instant classic
Not only my fav mobile game, well, ever, but also one of the most entertaining games I've played in the past couple of years. It has a certain spark that is so rarely found these days; Its simple, but effective gameplay is the key and it will have you hooked (no pun intended) till you've caught every single species there is to catch.
There lies a very retro style story under the surface and it's does add extra charm, but it's the gameplay that wins out over everything.
Visually pleasing, and boasting a soundtrack that is pretty much flawless when it comes to matching the overall tone, this game genuinely has all it could ever need. Sega bass fishing on the dreamcast just got owned! :-p
Too easy. Too expensive.
This is an ok game but really too easy for the price. In particular the shooting part of the game is very very easy (far easier than the fishing part) and just becomes a bit pointless on later stages where you just need to swipe your finger round the screen for a couple of minutes. Dull.
The fishing part is more of a challenge, but becomes a bit 'samey' after a while. There's not enough variety to be a long-term challenge.
This is a fun game for about 1 day, then you'll likely lose interest. If you're ok paying slightly over the odds for such a short game, then give it a try!
Fantastic, but it needs an update !!
It's a really great game defiantly worth the £2 I would highly recommend this game. Theres quite a lot of fish to catch and lots of them are really cool. But once you have caught all the fish and got all the power ups, there's not much more to do(SPOILER ALERT) except get deeper in maelstrom. They also said there would be a major update on 2014 and no update, hopefully this year. Great game :)
