Roadly - dash cam app created to help drivers every day. It works as a car camera, as a smart assistant recognizing traffic signs and warning you to avoid traffic violations and as a speed camera notifier.

ATTENTION!

Dash cam app needs to be constantly connected to car charger, it uses all functions of smartphone.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Try to direct air cooling system of your car on device to avoid overheating (long camera usage heats phone a lot).

Need update

Not been updated for 12 months, which is a real shame as I switched to this app after support for Witness stopped. This has been a great app and I like the way it works with the option to switch between cam and map. Needs to be updated to include MPH and it also crashes frequently. Not such a big issue but the lack of multi-tasking means if you get a call or message, it stops recording. Also, can't listen to music from the phone when the app is running, even with audio recording turned off.
These little fixes would get a 5th star from me.

Simple but intuitive

Used for the 1st time today so can only comment about the ‘normal’ use (no incidents thankfully).

The screen is clutter free but still shows speed in kph (but does not show what scale!). The sign recognition works well and even warns over speed bumps, road narrows etc.

The only thing I would wish for is to be able to change the zoom level - this seems a common weakness for Dash Cam apps though…

Screen black-out needed

Needs a simple option to set ‘screen off’ (or black-out) whilst recording video. Also, a map display on video playback is needed, otherwise what’s the point in recording location with the video if you can’t then review it?
