Search words feature should be altered

If you can search words before playing, you should certainly be able to see their definitions along with whether or not they’re playable! There should be more emphasis on learning the definitions of the words rather than simply being able to scrabble (!) together a collection of letters that form an eligible play in the game.

Other than that, the app is functional, fast, and has a lot of useful and fun features, such as the chat, playing online with friends of your choice, and the teacher tab at the bottom. The adverts get close to being excessive, but they’ve been placed in harmony with the turn-taking nature of the game, which means that they’re less obtrusive than they would be otherwise.

Edit: especially in conjunction with the search words feature, it’s slightly annoying how many seemingly gibberish or quasi-words are allowed; “quai”, the French spelling of “quay”, for instance, pushes it.

Hello! Hello! Is anyone there?

Georgie Girl.

Hi. Does anyone from Electronic Arts actually read these reviews or are we all wasting our time. My family & friends love playing Scrabble and we can even tolerate the ghastly adverts, but at the moment it is impossible to play due to the game continually crashing. Is anything being done to rectify this problem which is obviously affecting everyone attempting to play on an iPad, and wouldn't it be helpful to keep all participants of Scrabble informed of what is going on? What's the point in offering an App which at the moment is completely useless? A response to all of these reviews would be greatly appreciated.
I wrote the above review 2 years ago, but the situation now is worse ...... we haven't had Scrabble for a whole week.
Please, please update your loyal Scrabblers and let us know what the deuce is going on? Thank you in anticipation .....

A good game ruined.

We mostly enjoy playing this Scrabble but it is absolutely ruined by the absurd words supposedly taken from the "Collins dictionary". The teacher and computer opponent regularly produce really obscure, stupid words. Some of the words appear to be from urban dictionaries from around the world e.g. Afrikaans slang expressions. How would we know such stuff?
Also, as other people have said, mindless adverts sometimes lasting as long as a minute waste our time. We realise that ads are necessary to keep the game free but the long Barbie doll/ Tangled ads are not appropriate for the people who are likely to play Scrabble. We never look at them so whoever is paying for them is wasting their money.
If there was another Scrabble game we would delete this one. We may have to resort to getting the board game out and delete it anyway!
