Shark Numbers is an exciting game for children designed to teach Place Value (what each digit means). There are 3 games to choose from and multiple levels to play.
Use your knowledge of Place Value to place 3 numbers into order. Use the 'Pinch' gesture to partition the numbers. Move the sunken pirate ships into the correct order, otherwise the shark will bite your boat!
Children find reading multi-digit numbers very tricky. In this game a whale will say a number and give you three numbered bubbles to choose from. Choose the correct number to gain a pirate dabloon! Be careful though, there are lots of 'red herrings', e.g. if you're looking for 2051, there'll be a bubble with 2015 waiting to catch you out!
3. Place Value:
In this game you control a shark BY MOVING YOUR iPAD! Look at the blocks / abacus / cups, work out the number and then move your iPad to guide the shark to the correct number. If you get it right he'll eat a nice juicy steak!
There is no need to work your way through easy levels to get to the learning in these games. Simply select the game you want to play and go straight to the number range that suit you / your child.

Ratings and Reviews
So disappointed! An expensive, poorly thought out app
The app is not good at all. The dienes are so tiny they are almost impossible to count and you cannot move them to systematically count them. You have to tilt the screen to select an answer but the titling is not accurate at all, resulting in frequently being unable to select the number you want. Despite getting all the answers wrong it said “well done”. How ridiculous !
The illustration of cups placed in tens and ones was again so tiny it is too difficult to accurately count and the abacus does not show a T and a U. All in all a total waste of money .
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
