The Shell app provides you a faster and easier way to pay using our Fill Up & Go mobile payment service. You can also collect points and rewards with the Shell Drivers’ Club.

We know people lead very busy lives. Sometimes you don’t need coffee, milk or groceries from our shop. Sometimes you just want to fill up and go.

That’s why we’ve introduced a speedy mobile fuel payment service that gets you back to where you need to be. Using Apple Pay, Android Pay or PayPal, select your payment of choice to pay for your fuel quickly without queuing up in store.

We call it Fill Up & Go. And it’s available at a Shell fuel station near you.

To use, simply select how much you want to spend and confirm the pump number. Then just fill up and go. It really is as simple as that.

We now allow Jaguar and Land Rover drivers* to use Apple Pay or PayPal via their car's touchscreen to pay for fuel at selected Shell service stations in the UK.

*This functionality is available to Jaguar and Land Rover owners with vehicles from 2014 that have InControl Apps technology installed.

Did the upgrade and the app doesn't work ... absolutely crap ....... it's now Been 3 days and the bloody app still isn't working telling me I have no account, absolutely dreadful. For gods sake shell sort this out it's getting ridiculous .... just seen the reply to another user of your app , are you people thick or just plain stupid why tell just one user how to sort out the problem when there are a obviously many more . Update your app and make it easier to use before we all go to bp . After a week finally thought I'd cracked it but NO , did exactly what you are supposed to do and still saying wrong details NO THEY ARE BLOODY NOT . Absolutely disgusting from shell not what you expect from a so called trusted well known company ...... I did what the development response told me to do and guess what ? It still doesn’t work . You are a hopeless bunch of idiots ..... just a quick update on this farce done everything I was told and I mean everything by the book and .......... still won’t work absolute fu****g useless .. well it’s only taken a few months but got the app working today and everything seems ok but it should never have taken so long . Please shell the next time you update your app make sure it works

Account Upgrade Totally Broken


I eventually managed to get back into my Shell Account and got all of my balance back, and it is now working smoothly. That said, it caused me a lot of grief for a little while to the point where I started getting fuel elsewhere. I’m happy it’s working fine again though and will continue to use Shell and the Fill Up & Go service.

The new upgrade tried linking all of your Shell accounts together into one unified service, however the upgrade process didn't work correctly upon opening the app, and now I'm unable to log into my account at all. It was fine before, so why change it? The app has been perfect for me up until now, I have always enjoyed using Fill Up & Go and had no complaints whatsoever. It's a shame to ruin such a good app!

Account migration fail

I know that Shell needed to consolidate the user accounts from the many services they have, but I honestly don't think they could have done a worse job of it than they have done.

So I'm on the forecourt trying to use Fill up and Go and ... oh wait, this is when they tell me I need to create a new account. Hmmm... I reckon an in-app notification would have been the ideal place to give me this rather important news. Ethnographic user experience: Fail.

Ok so I set it up at home, excited about using Fill up and Go on my next trip to the petrol station. When the magical moment finally comes I pull out my phone, click on Fill up and Go and ... oh... it's asking me which account I would like to link my Fill up and Go to... ok so I persevere. It asks me to sign in. Cool, that's quite easy. Then it asks me for my 5 digit pin, which I have NEVER used cos i just give Touch ID my thumb print. Then it reckons my mother's maiden name is wrong. Yawn, boring... BP is closer to my house anyway. Total user experience: Double fail.
