Singing Fingers HD
By Beginner's Mind
Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
Singing Fingers lets you fingerpaint with sound. Just touch the screen while you make a sound, and colorful paint appears. Touch the paint to play back the sound again!
You can paint your own musical instrument and play it, play with your voice, experiment with sounds, or create whatever else you can imagine.
Singing Fingers comes with help screens to get you started, examples to inspire you, and the ability to save and load your creations.
New for the iPad version:
* Improved Sound! Rewritten granular synthesis engine provides smoother, more lifelike output
* Improved Colors! A new pitch tracking algorithm can tell what note you're singing. The same note in different octaves should give the same color. Sing a scale to get a rainbow.
Still not had a chance to use this with my son, who I think will love it.
It's really very cool, and very silly. I think some reviewers are expecting a paint app, or a recording studio? It's neither, but it does let you creat silly visual instruments from any sounds around you, or your own voice and parps.
I'd love to see improvements to the audio output (when you are at the end of a paint trail the audio doesn't seem to loop as it ought to), and the graphics too (perhaps the overtones could change the texture of the drawn shape?
Really worth a try if you have any interest in sound, and great for getting children inspired!
Fun but the sound when you play it back is a bit muffled it makes me sound like a robot but other than that, it is a great game for the kids it kept my brother occupied for ages! Hehe great game
BIG MISTAKE BUYING IT POOR
DONT BUY IT!From the other reviews I thought it sounded good but it wasn't it's was rubbish when you talked it didn't pick up what you were saying it wasn't good at drawing either when ever I moved my hand for a line it did a dot and that was it.
