Superb drawing tool
After years of trying to create digital drawings and paintings in Photoshop I am pleased to report this does a much better job, and at a much better price. Particularly like the 'smooth stroke' tool, and the ability to have an uncluttered workspace.
Runs perfectly on a mid-2012 Macbook Pro, and works really well with a new Wacom Intuos Pro.
I've tried other well-known painting apps and this is definitely my favourite, and particularly like the professional feel of the interface.
An easy 5 stars from me.
The guys at Autodesk seem to have resolved the issues with Cintiq and switching displays no longer causes your pallets to be scattered around as before.
Now an enjoyable process working with this app, the tools simulate real life tools very well and all in all it's good especially for generating roughs for jobs. Would be lovely to see some masking abilities akin to Photoshop but hey, it's really good even as is...Here's hoping for even better..
Problem with Brush resize puck in OS X Mavericks
Great app have used it for years, but the latest version crashes when you try and use the brush resize puck, I’ve only upgraded it because the colour picker on my previous version stopped working when i “upgraded" to OS X Mavericks. A costly mistake. Also found out using the zoom crashes the app too, renedering it useless. I now can’t do my work for my clients.
