Sky+ app is the best way to discover and manage all of your Sky TV and movies. You can connect directly to your Sky+HD box in-home to browse all of our content, set downloads and recordings and manage your planner. You can also set downloads, recordings and series links when you’re out and about so you never miss a thing.
To use the enhanced features you will need a compatible Sky+HD box and have your device and Sky+HD box connected to the same broadband network either with a wired or wireless connection. Please see the Help section of the app for more details.
In order to Record and Download programmes to your Sky+HD box you will need to register your Sky iD with the service at sky.com/remoterecord and simply follow the instructions.
Smart Series Link and photo viewing are only available to customers with a compatible Sky+HD box.
All recordings are FREE, however mobile network and/or Wi-Fi charges may apply.

If you are having problems connecting your app to your Sky+HD box, please make sure that your Sky+HD box and iPhone/iPad are on the same WiFi network. If you have a dual band router, the Sky box and your device must be on the same WiFi band. Now, you can name your Sky+HD boxes and switch between them from the Planner.
Simply pop to the ‘Connect to Sky+HD box’ page in Settings to get started.

Easy to use
There is very little wrong in this app. It automatically tells you off any clashes and gives you options on how too clear them. The week to view of all or a genre is simple too use. Also the recorded section is as simple too. The search facility is straight forward meaning you can find things if they have been on sky recently but not if they are in the box set section where you seem to have to look manually. Being able to join others wifi and control their sky box can be fun.
But every so often having to reboot sky box to connect is a pain. Also not being able to put sky pin in when prompted too lets this nice app down.

Well as the title says 😂, it's about time we had the option to rename our boxes especially for people who have more than 1 Sky+HD box.
I do have little grimes about the app though let's say you scroll down to the bottom of your planner and then you want to go back to the top there is no option to tap the top of the screen to auto scroll up which is disappointing :(, I also have to agree with people who have also written reviews regarding the Keep option there is no option to delete anything with this turned on therefore using the app is useless for this feature.
A few other bugs of mine is if I delete something from my planner using this app then actually remembered that was a mistake, the deleted tab is not available within this app to restore it back to your planner :(
And lastly, 'Download All' with this new feature now included in the Sky+ HD box when are we going to see this included in the app??
Deleting recordings with a K marker
I find the Sky+ app very useful, but there is a very annoying issue. If I have set a K marker against a recording to Keep that recording. There is no way to either remove the Keep marker or to delete the recording using this app. If I want to delete a recording with a Keep marker against it I have to use the remote control.
Are you able to change app so that it allows me to remove the Keep marker and also allow me to delete recording that have a Keep marker against them. I would be happy for the app to prompt for PIN number to be entered which is what happens when using the remote control. Thanks.
