How does the subscription work?
Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period and your account will be charged £5.99 / €6.99 per month for Pack 1 and £10.99 / €13.99 per month for Pack 2. Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. You can manage your Account Settings after purchase.

Sky Sports Mobile TV subscribers who joined before 18 July 2017 will continue to pay the price they paid when they first subscribed.

Do I need this app if I am a Sky Sports Customer?
No. If you’re a Sky TV customer with a Sky Sports 1 Pack, you can already watch all 7 Sky Sports channels at no extra cost with the Sky Go app on your iPhone and iPad.

What are the streaming requirements?
A minimum continuous Wi-Fi speed of 600kbps or 400kbps for 3G/4G data is recommended. Streaming can use up a lot of data, so if your broadband/3G/4G package doesn’t give you unlimited data you need to check that you have an adequate monthly data allowance. You’ll be responsible for all costs charged by your mobile/ broadband service provider.

Can I use AirPlay or Chromecast?
Unfortunately we do not support AirPlay or Chromecast.

Why is there is no sound when watching a channel?
If there is no sound please ensure that your device's mute switch is not enabled.

Can I use Sky Sports Mobile TV abroad?
As a Sky Sports Mobile TV customer, you can now watch our great content throughout the EU using your iPhone. To view in the EU, you don’t need to do anything differently, there are no additional steps or requirements, simply watch the Sports you want as you would when at home.

Good but crashes at most exciting moments!


This is beyond coincidence! I have used this app for several years with no real problems. Since the recent update the app crashes at some of the most exciting moments in play (cricket). I usually watch on Home Wi-Fi (70+Mbs download) but also occurs on 4G. Extremely frustrating!

February 2018. This app now won’t let me view anything! Says I need to renew my subscription which was a rolling subscription monthly from the iTunes Store. When I try to renew the subscription it tells me I’m already subscribed my next payment is due March 8.Unable to contact sky support because I don’t have a category for the sky sports mobile TV app. I am now cancelling my subscription.

I noticed that the last update was five months ago! I think that probably says it all!

Disaster! Change of phone - Viewing options loop

The app is unusable since changing my iPhone. I have been a subscriber via iTunes since the early days. I think the Vodafone route or clunky restore purchases (which there is no option) is causes issues. At first, the app wanted me to buy another subscription. Now all of a sudden it has picked up my subscription but either way; just like other comments, “viewing option” keeps me from watching any channels.

Sky support is poor, all the FAQs and documentation are about 5 years old and no one has a grip on this. Sky say to contact Apple (as they assign the subscription once which needs swapping). Apple say to contact Sky (as they only manage billing and the restore process the app developers implement should work).
