What's New in Version 1.1
Thanks for using Sky Sports Mobile TV.
Updates in this release include:
*Improved stream quality
*Minor bug fixes for iOS8
*New app icon
This is an incredible app. The quality is very good considering it's only £5. Many are complaining that it should be HD etc, but they are never going to make it as good as the full sky go app as you have to pay 6-8 times as much to get the full service. It's at least 75% of the quality. It's well worth paying £5 a month for, the zoomed version on the iPad is not to bad either. Considering its a zoom it's certainly acceptable. As far as I'm concerned it's worth every penny!
Having been a long time subscriber of Sky sports mobile tv, I have to say I am delighted with the new update
Whilst I don't expect hd quality for £5 a month ( I still pay the same figure from around 2 years ago) the improvement in quality on this update makes the app fantastic value for even the £9.99 they charge new customers, and a great entry level price fur Sky sports , which I would struggle to afford at home.
Why is this the worst sky app
The concept of the app is great and the update seems to improve stability and sound BUT picture quality is not the same as what you get on other sky apps (or BT). I'm not sure this is a technical issue as sky go and sky sports news apps are light years ahead of the app in picture quality. So this can only be a decision by sky to have an inferior app. If they are worried people would use a hdmi adaptor to play in in the tv I'm sure the software of the app could be adapted to stop this. Come on sky you can do better than this for your customers if you give a monkeys about your customers
