Slayin 12+

I love this 8 bit retro game. However, recently it’s been crashing, especially when defeating bosses perfectly. It’s really putting me off going for some of the later challenging quests.

I BET THIS HONEST REVIEW GETS BURIED! This game Is not THAT good! There were far too many monsters all at once to start with making it impossible to not get injured and therefore not live for long now with the addition of the undead it is much worse! I miss the talking to people, doing quests to gain experience and money and walking from place to place and....well....everything else that is usually in a role playing game! I feel like I'm permanently stuck in a dungeon! Only 1.5 stars from me!

I thought I’d try it again, you know give it another chance. The fame points are still a complete waste of time! The game is still just as dreadful! It needs permanent upgrades and items that can be bought with fame points for less than it costs for things now which are still on you and can be used at the start of the next game!

The characters need to have a difference between them other than just looking different because having at least four (for example) with the same base stats and all play the same is stupid! Why would any one get any other once the person has one of them just because it looks different?!?! However if it did something different....

I love this game and would recommend it as it's massive value for money. Seems like a simple game at first but skill curve is sharp once you get past the 3rd boss. Fun grinding for the fame points to unlock other characters and features. There are in app purchases for the Fame Points but to be frank they are minimal and not needed to enjoy the game if you don't want to pay, it's not pay to play/win.

Personally I think the game is at its best once you unlock Ninja and the mode which lets you start the game at level 81 it's easy to grind FP and also loads of big combos are possible. Also the wizard character is good fun if you unlock her early on.

Only problem I have is that if you delete the app and reinstall it, there is no option to retrieve progress, so you lose all your game points and unlocks. You keep your high score through the game centre but that's it. However not the end of the world because I'm happy to start playing it again and unlock everything again!

Fantastic game well worth the money and good fun to pick up and put down easily. Would be nice to see some extra content added in the future.
