Small talk is a daily dose of knowledge and inspiration, delivered fresh to your phone every day.
Each day you will receive a notification informing you that your daily small talk has arrived.
Your daily small talk will include the following;
INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE: Each day you'll receive words of wisdom from history's finest, including Albert Einstein, Oscar Wilde, and the Dalai Lama
FUN FACT: We have thousands of educational (and humorous!) facts to drip-feed you, day by day - perfect as an ice breaker on first dates and awkward lunch meetings
JOKE: Everybody loves a good joke. After 1 day of small talk you'll be capable of turning a frown upside down in an instant!
WORD OF THE DAY: Eloquence in articulation is the aim of the game here. We help expand your vocabulary each day with a word you never knew existed
ON THIS DAY: History, it's all in the past isn't it? Well now it isn't! Learn about key historical events each day, you might even learn that you share Hitler's birthday
TOP TIP: We collate and share words of wisdom and useful advice from the greats - little life hacks for everyday activities
Remember, every day's a school day!

Did you know that wasps and bees can remember human faces? Same with crows. Mental.
But back to the point: this new version of small talk comes with a few slight UX improvements, a new app store icon, bug fixes, and a brand new content policy.
Alongside that, we've made some changes under the hood for a huge update towards the end of August / early September, so stay tuned for further improvements - and as always, please don't hesitate to get in touch with your feedback and suggestions at firstname.lastname@example.org

You can do better than that people!
I didn’t particularly want to write a review but you don’t exactly make yourselves easy to contact! I really enjoy the app which is why I was so disappointed by the joke section today:
Q: Why is the space between a woman’s breasts and her hips called a waist?
A: Because you could easily fit another pair of breasts there.
Really ? I mean, r e a l l y? Of all the people that read your app this the morning , I’m sure I wasn’t the only one thinking what the hell. Considering how this app is marketed - were you expecting people to use this in their day? How would this sound in an office? Or, in fact, anywhere on this earth?
Anyway, as I say, the app itself is great but this joke felt objectifying in the least and downright offensive in the extreme. Please, nothing like this ever again. Rant over - have a nice day.
Hi Cybh3/5 - we apologise about some raunchy jokes slipping through recently, our content and QA processes is undergoing a significant review which will make things a lot more family-friendly; as we're ending some of the content cycle now, it appears that some of the recent content was not curated adequately, and so we've taken steps to fix it now.
I must say thank you on behalf of both the SmallTalk team and our fast growing community for your comments; feedback like yours helps us keep in check and ultimately benefits everyone!
Furthermore: we're putting in a 'contact us / suggestions' form as a direct response to your review!
Thanks again, and if you do have any further suggestions or feedback in the short term please do get in touch at email@example.com
The app is great
I enjoy the daily simplicity of the app
I just want one feature and that is a text speech button on the word of the day, just to make sure my pronunciation of the word is correct
Highlight of the morning!
Great app, gives you a smile when you wake up. Informative and creative!
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
