System close to wonderful but rendered useless often with no support
With the system in place two years now. And in that time many of the devices have become unavailable for no reason. They have needed to be reset and had new batteries despite battery power being 70 to 80%.
My main gripe that is rendering my security totally useless is that previous routines, I.e. to turn off security at 3:20 when my daughter returns home from school was removed as we were on summer holidays and needed the security to remain on until we came home. The old routine of‘ back-to-school‘ does not appear in the app as I have deleted it, but Still turned off my alarm system. Email from support saying they will be in touch-no support whatsoever.

Hello, this is Ellen with SmartThings support. I'm so sorry for the issues you've experienced with device connectivity as well as the changes with the new app that are different from Classic. If SmartThings Classic has more features that you need, then you can continue to use the Classic app. In the meantime, I will be passing on a request to add more features from the SmartThings Classic app to the new app. If you have not removed previous Routines from SmartThings Classic, they may still run but not show in the new app. Please update your review with your support request number and I'll be able to look further into this case.

Fantastic home automation system
Been using smartthings along with other products to automate my home for over a year now and I have encountered next to no problems with this system. I use Hue, Sonos, Echo, Nest and other smart devices which all connect great to smartthings however sometimes via the use of IFTTT. The devs roll out frequent updates to both the app and hub to add new features and security. In my opinion the best thing about ST is the community, if you can't find an app or a device handler in the app you can check the community forums and 9 times out of 10 someone will have developed one for you to use.
Good but needs constant improvement.
The slick design and functional of the app is what makes it easy to use and fun to use.
The app was recently updated and optimised for the iPhone X however the security aspect wasent therefore every 4 to 5 logins using FaceID the app logs out of the active account meaning I have log back in with email and password each time. The Smartthings as a whole needs constant improvement as well but this review is for the app.
It app is quick and easy to use with big graphics and digital buttons. The setup is also flawless using the app therefore enchancing the whole products like ability instantly.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
