Smoke Free - Quit smoking now and stop for good

This is a stop smoking app with a difference. You’ll get all the usual things you want from a cessation app, and something very important more. For this is an experiment designed to help researchers understand how to help people stop smoking.
By keeping a 10-second diary you can shed light on the hardest part of giving up smoking. Each day we’ll ask you about the number of cravings you had and how severe they were. What’s more, some of you will have the opportunity to try other techniques that might make it easier to stop smoking.
This is all entirely voluntary and you can download the app without taking part in the experiment. Your data will be kept anonymous and you can delete it at any time. But we really hope you do take part because everyone who does will help the quitters who follow. So do yourself a favour by quitting smoking. And do your fellow smokers a favour by helping them understand how it’s done.
What's New in Version 2.1.6
Just a fix to the diary screen. The confirmation message and diary page now correctly displays your answer to the 'Have you smoked since your last entry?' question.
I know the new dashboard hasn't been a hit with everyone but that can't be fixed for a little while yet. Sorry about that.
Very helpful app
This app has been a great support tool in helping me escape cigarettes. I love the dashboard where you can see how much money has been saved and how many cigarettes haven't been smoked...very motivational for keeping on track and resisting the urge to 'have just one'.
The health progress is a useful guide to show how the body is recovering from the effects of smoking, so again helps focus the mind.
As others have mentioned, the Cravings Diary is the least useful as it's impossible to remember accurately at the end of a day how many cravings were resisted, so I don't bother. A click & count button would be a better option for this.
One other suggestion would be for there to be an indication of when the next badge will be awarded, as currently it just pops up that you've achieved one, but feel it would add extra meaning and motivation if you knew what the milestones were...the number could be shown in a faded grey on the badges?
All in all, an excellent app though which is very easy to use, and have and will continue to recommend to others.
This app is a really helpful tool that is helping me quit, seeing the amount of money I'm saving is a great motivation tool!
I'm not a fan of how you count cravings though, instead of having to add it to a diary entry, could we get a different screen where each time we get a craving we press a button and the number goes up (like a counter), then we input how severe the craving was.
I would find that a lot more helpful and much more of a motivation tool of seeing how many cravings I've resisted then writing a diary entry every time.
Love it. Lose the diary option please?
I've proudly shown masses of people this display which I'm currently on 330 days with. Dead simple summary as soon as you open. Ignore the idiot review about it thinks you're smoking in your sleep.. It doesn't. It's the amount you smoke a day ticking over 24 hours to calculate the total! Aside from the fact that nicotine officially stays in your blood for 48hrs!
Very good app, but I don't want nor need the diary option. Would like to switch it off.
