Get the original board game experience with this digital version of the iconic game.

Space Hulk is a difficult, yet rewarding, tactical turn-based game set in Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe.

This digital version of the board game features a single player campaign, set in a beautiful 3D environment, and comes with cross platform multiplayer

functionality, which recreates the classic claustrophobic board game experience.

You play as a small squad of fearless Space Marine Terminators attempting to reclaim their honour by mounting an assault on a derelict Space Hulk infested by

hordes of vicious Tyranid Genestealers.

Take control of the Adeptus Astartes of the Blood Angel chapter, and guide them towards glory, while battling fierce aliens and uncovering ancient relics.

Space hulks/WH quest

Both great games..... BUT... To liner you have to follow narrow paths or passages. Unlike hunters and hunters 2 were you have wide open spaces and more control over your unit. To much is put on large characters and fancy graphics and forgotten gameplay. Also it's almost impossible to keep all or even most of your squad alive due too strategic limits in gameplay..... IE: it cost points to turn a character and place in over watch mode making more often than not a suicide option that this unit will be left to over watch and die.... Rather than fall back slowly and defend an area has you move through the restrictive passages. I found almost every round that I was over run has I spent needless points on opening doors and turning units around to defend a passage way or door. At less in WH QUEST you can shoot pass your units infront and attack the enemy. In space hulk you can't and since when did a flamer run out of ammo the bolters don't..... There for a liner game you can fire and get over run or run away and lose like a chicken. When I play 40k on a table top I have a large area In which to move. So I can apply strategy and plan ahead and go in any direction by looking down over the table I see the target I need to reach... Over all still a great game but wish for a large playing area 40inches by 40inches with 3 squads a rhino or tank may be just to give a true table top gameplay....

Have been waiting for this to come to Ipad for ages, since it was announced and must admit, it is hard to put down! As an owner and fan of the board game, it was so nice to see this, properly represented as a digital version. The graphics are great on my retina display. The DLC is very welcome, and I hope for more in the future. The only issue is the button size, as mentioned by a previous reviewer, my only way around this is to use the undo button, not really a game breaker, but a little annoying sometimes. All in all, great value, compared to how much the board game goes for these days online. Only crashed a few times, but again, I am sure a patch will update this issue soon enough. Beats the set up time of a board game version! The skins are welcome, I would like to see more. Maybe include some bosses? If you like space hulk, or are new to the game, this will give you a great taster of what the space hulk universe is all about. Enjoy!

Works great on iPad Air

Space Hulk is a fantastic turn-based strategy game set in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe and based upon their classic board game of the same name, and let me tell you this game is an absolute blast! It's a solid and addictive title that'll keep you coming back for more.

Based upon most of the other reviews I've seen it appears that the game struggles on iPad Minis and iPad 2s, but for those of you who own the new iPad Air model I can tell you first hand that I have not experienced anywhere near as many glitches as those guys. The game has only unexpectedly closed three times over a period of more than 8 hours playing, and trust me this game is totally worth it.

The only negatives I can think of is the steep asking price and expensive purchasable additional content. Other than that this game is an absolute gem and a must-buy for any 40K fan!
