Good addictive game

If you are prepared to play, and wait for your health to regenerate. It is an excellent game. If you log in every day, you get rewards that increase in value by the day. Worth just logging in. Plus do not need Internet, so can play anywhere, a real bonus. Still playing, must be good.

I thought I could work past the various grievances noted by other reviewers (eg, avoiding recovery time by using Heal, simply ignoring the increased likelihood of "Surprise Attacks" immediately after a defeat - of which I once noted six in a row - and so on), all of which appear only to be designed to frustrate the player into spending money on a quick-fix recovery.

What I can't accept, however, is my percentage Drain ability halving inexplicably overnight (it's now about 15%, and none of my stats have changed). Is it intended to make defeat more likely (and thereby me to buy quick-fix recoveries more likely)? Probably. Will it do anything other than annoy me into giving up on this once and for all? Probably not. It's killed a key part of what was enjoyable and addictive about this - that all the development and powering up of the character counts for something...

I agree with the reviewer who said they'd happily spend a fiver on a game than didn't have money-grabbing hard-coded into its algorithms, but not a penny on what we actually get with this game...

Excellent blend of puzzle and RPG

I'll be honest, at first the freemium model was putting me off this game. Items I needed appeared in the shop and I couldn't afford them without paying with real money.

However, items in the shop come and go all the time, so you can save up and get them next time. Levels can be revisited (and this can be a very good way of building up money and experience, or building up spells to fight harder opponents). Once you own areas, you can even just wait for the money to role in and build up from there.

The game is very addictive to play and has a strong "one more go appeal". If you like roleplaying puzzle combinations, then this is the new king of that genre.
