If you’ve ever wondered where or how you spend your money, this is the app for you. We break down your card spend into categories to make it easier to see where and when you’ve spent your money. You’ll also be able to see trends in your spending over time and our new secure View PIN function will let you see your card PIN within the app.
With Santander Wallet you can:
• See all your card spend every month broken down into categories
• View your card PIN/s
• Compare your month-on-month activity and see your spend over the year
• See your total spend on all major brands
You can log on to Wallet using Touch ID or Face ID once you’ve successfully logged on and used the app at least once.
You’ll need your Santander Online Banking log on credentials and a Santander debit or credit card to use Wallet. And if you want to see a PIN you’ve forgotten you’ll need your registered mobile phone to hand, as we’ll send you a One Time Passcode for extra security.
You’ll need to make sure that we know your current UK mobile number, so that we can send you One Time Passcodes. Once that’s done, it takes just a few minutes to get started.
• open the app and enter your Online Banking log on details
• we’ll send you a One Time Passcode (OTP) by text message
• enter the code into the app and we’ll register your device
• we’ll then ask if you want to set up Touch ID or Face ID to log on.
And that’s it, you’re in!
Please note that this app is designed to give you information and insights into your card spend only, so won’t show you details of any fees and charges for your account. You can see all of these kind of account details in Online or Mobile Banking.
• Never share a One Time Passcode (OTP) with another person. Not even a Santander employee.
• Never download software or let anyone log on to your computer or other devices remotely following or during a cold call.
• Never enter your Online Banking or bank card details after clicking on a link in an email or text message.

We’re constantly reviewing the app and your feedback. In this release we’ve enhanced our security by introducing device registration so we can be sure it’s you using the app. You can also now use Touch ID to see your card PIN with the ‘View PIN’ feature.

Good app but improvements could be made
This is overall a useful and functional app that helps you see where you’ve spent your money and how much. The graphs are a useful and enlightening feature as well as the breakdown of categories. However, there are some flaws - you should be able to exclude some ‘purchases’ when looking at these breakdowns that skew the data (such as rent or other large spendings), and something that annoys me personally is that the supermarket Co-op is not in the supermarket section but in the ‘other’ section. Otherwise a good app.
It’s faulty ‘it freezes this app on iOS 11.4.1
I have tried to get Santander to correct the glitch when it’s was released for use on iOS 10.3.3 such my iPad 4th gen which worked fine & not on my iPhone 6s Plus it is ridiculous that the bank had not even updated for use on iOS 11.4.1 it’s disgusting as I had complained to the bank. It’s shouldn’t have been like this when I logged in as when I clicked a card this went completely fog up & freezes the app up. I had to press the home button to shut the frozen app off & I had to re-log in & log off again as I close it off. It’s should have been updated correctly by the digital team, how long they taking to fix a BUG OR ISSUE OF FREEZING APP????
Great app but need more improvements
Overall while this app provides a good overview of where your money is going, some of the allocations are counted as expense when they should be savings or other. Due to this reason, the average monthly spend figure us kind of skewed. There should be an ability for users to allocate certain outgoing to a certain category. Also, I could not see my direct debits in this app like my mortgage payments, council tax payment etc. This leaves me blind of exactly how much is my expense for the month. I hope someone at Santander could bring these improvements!
