Ratings and Reviews
Please be aware of buying tickets on this app for the following reasons -
1 if your phone gets lost or stollen then the ticket you have bought is lost without a refund.
2 if by any means your device gets broken or screen smashed to the point of needing a replacement phone then your ticket will not be able to be transferred which means stagecoach takes your money without a refund.
3 stagecoach should clearly state on the app that you cannot transfer a ticket from one device to another before you get to checkout or on the checkout screen and not leaving it to someone to read through the terms and conditions as there are few people who do not and cannot read terms and conditions for whatever reasons.
There are honest people that get new devices for genuine reasons which will loose out if your phone becomes broken or worse. Please bear in mind these conditions before purchasing a ticket.
Yet another problem!
When I clicked the stagecoach app icon on my phone it used to log me in automatically but this time it asked me for an email and password! Not only had I forgotten my password but when I pressed the button to send an email to me with a link to reset my password it wasn't sent and didn't appear in my inbox, even though the internet was working and I could get on other sites! Thankfully the driver was understanding and waved me through or else I may have had to pay twice!
This is on top of the previous problem I mentioned in a previous review of my ticket being deleted until I confirmed my email which meant I had to waste over £2 on a ticket (unfortunately lost so I couldn't claim money back) and the earlier issue where you used to have a silly pop up message telling you to connect to the internet to display the ticket to the driver which fortunately you solved.
What kind of faulty app is this?
I’ve been using this app for a while now and it didn’t present any issues. Until right now.
I went to open the app as I usually do. I’m up very early for work and commute on the bus. The app had logged me out unusually and there was a little pop up saying “system error” and that I’d need to “log back in”. I had actually forgotten my details so I clicked on the link to reset them. But, I couldn’t actually reset them! Every time I put in my email address a pop up saying “cancelled” would come up which left me without my bus ticket and potentially no way of getting to work! I have to get 2 buses to work and very fortunately I had my receipt with all the ticket details on and a very understanding bus driver for my first bus.
If I have to pay extra, I think l’ll be going back to physical copies of tickets. I’ve been left with absolutely no way of retrieving my bus ticket at this time.
