Better game since the update!

Before the update, this game was good and now this game is great. For a game with one game mode, it is really addictive. You have to get it.

I have no idea what's going on with the structure of this game. Why do I have to mess around for 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 or 70 seconds in a forced "practice" mode every time before I can actually have a game, even in offline mode? Why can't I just have a local highscore game against myself? Why aren't offline scores recorded at all? It's a shambles, and it ruins what is at the core a brilliant basket-shooting game. And it crashes far too often too.

Forcing the online aspect so clumsily makes no sense at all. It's not as if you and your opponents appear onscreen alongside each other or can affect each other's game in any way, and it's not as if you can even have a contest against your friends, so why not just play the game normally (you know, tap to start and actually go straight into a timed game, not a random-length practice session) and have normal leaderboards?

The answer seems to be "So we can force you to watch ads to gain entry to contests, and to buy the premium version", but even paying for the upgrade doesn't solve the problem - you've still got to waste your time in "practice" mode while the game waits to match you up with online opponents you can't see and aren't actually competing against.

Addictive & fun

Update re version 1.5 - multiple crashes now. My crashes started when I was messing around with customisation, now it happens a lot. Please fix it!

Seeing as there is only one type of play mode it's surprising how addictive this is..and fun to boot!

Maybe the devs could give us one or two different play modes?

The only gripe to be had is the scoring and online positions during contests. I don't yet fully understand the scoring system and don't fully understand how the positions after a contest are worked many people are playing at once, is the position based on how many points you score during that one contest or all your contests you have ever played..why when I click 'by country' positions am I the only person from the uk? Maybe I have missed a help section..I will check..but if this could be more streamlined it would be better.

However I am so surprised how fun and addictive this is and as a result this deserves no less than 5 stars.

The gripe about playing a forced practice session before playing a contest is's the same on a lot of xbox 360 and ps3 online's part and parcel of online gaming.

A great success for such a limited and simple game..but sometimes when done right they are the best games to play.
