Starsceptre – Infinite chances to save the Galaxy
Exclusive debut only on iPhone & iPad!
Starsceptre is a classic retro shoot ’em up with a twist. Its power lies in a unique gyroscopic tilting control system, creating a new genre of games we call “Tilt 'n' shoot-em-up” (#tiltnshmup). Instead of using on-screen joysticks, you’ll use your body to steer your spaceship, tilting and shooting your way through the levels in a game that’ll push your piloting skills to the extreme.
Looking like one of those 8bit or 16 bit pixel games you loved as a kid, you'll relive 80s & 90s arcade memories on the go via your iPhone or iPad. And like all the classics, this game is easy to play, but difficult to master.
From high speed dodging to pixel-precise control, your nerves and reactions will be tested to their limits. And what arcade game is complete without repeatedly hammering the fire button? Tap the screen to shoot anyway you like – double handed, strumming fingers, one handed – it’s up to you!
The Starsceptre itself is a legend that only the few still believe in… but in the wrong hands its power is truly terrifying. It grants the wielder the power to right wrongs, bending time so you can try to complete the game again and again without ever dying.
For centuries the Draxses have conquered planets, stripping them of precious resources and enslaving their occupants, but now a new weapon has made them virtually unstoppable. Only the Starsceptre has the power to stop the Draxses. And they want it!
Playing as Ensign Rook, you awake suddenly in the cockpit of your Starfighter to find your short-term memory missing as you float amongst the shattered halves of your home planet.
Accompanied only by Onalee, a mysterious stowaway on your ship who wields the Starsceptre, you must battle your way to defeating the Draxses.
Can you stop other planets from suffering the same fate?

I first heard of this game after reading an article about the creator developing it on his daily commute. You’d never guess it – either the guy has an extremely long commute or he’s a master game developer.
It has a classic combination of simplicity but with intuitive hooks to get you addicted. The look is fantastic – clean and clear graphics that have a real creative flair to them.
Just one more try...
This game is so easy to play but so difficult to master that it will keep you hooked. With no "lives" you can keep playing as long as you like! For an arcade-style game it has a surprisingly deep plot too! Despite what other people have said, the controls are intuitive: we've all leaned our bodies while playing video games - here it actually works!
Awesome stuff! More please!
This game is so addictive it has all the traits of a KONAMI classic. It seems so simple in concept but deceptively difficult to master. And that's what makes it so great, because you know each time you die that you should of done better, so you go again, and again and again!
Every time you master a level you have to learn a new one, new tricks and moves.
I don't usually write reviews but this games deserves one.
The artwork is so perfectly simple and yet so perfectly considered.
And it's been created on an iPad! Let that sink in.
