Great Functionality, terrible update
This app is fantastic. It will give you all the functionality you come to expect from a food app. You've got your points balances with Passbook, nearest stores, nutrition info, offers and much more.
However, the app is still not optimized for Apples new responsive graphics so it looks terrible on an iPhone 6, 6+ or multitasking on iPad iOS 9.
The last app update also screamed "data breach" in the update details. For some reason all users have to follow a six step process involving updating the app, deleting the app and changing password. Bizarre and suspicious. All you're told is that there are now updated security features for the app.
Overall, if you eat at Subway. Get the app, if not you don't need it. The update process is a massive IT fail and clearly didn't take into account user experience. Especially since 90% of people do not check the update details now that they are executed automatically.
Ok so I'm liking this app, it's one of the only fast food apps that I have found with passbook integration which if we're being honest should be standard on all. The only reason I have not given five stars is because I think subway should also provide HealthKit integration, the nutritional info is there and it would be awesome if it was easy to share with HealthKit and my fitness pal.
Also the Starbucks app lets you pay via the passbook card and automatically adds your points... A good idea for a future release?
Is any body at Subway reading these bad reviews?
Out of all the reviews there a just a couple that say it is fine. I suspect that they are written by the pathetic incompetent developers of the app.
Even if they are genuine, it is not valid to say that just because they did not have problems the many others suffering are wrong.
I still have a hope that Subway are not aware of the issues that their subcontracted dev team have caused.
I shall be calling Subway direct since I am very annoyed at all the time and points that they have forced me to waste with the 'update'.
I urge people with problems to contact them direct.
