Be wary of family sharing
So, I looked at a few apps to replace my old shift app that didn’t sync with the cloud or anything else. This one looked good and seemed simple to add and remove shifts - and it supported family sharing so my other half could see my shifts without having to pay out again. But.... family sharing doesn’t support in-app purchases. So seem at tad pointless since the actual app is free!
So that’s £4.99 each to pay out. Well play dev, well played. Grates to be paying £10 to get something to sync between 2 devices. And if my mum wants it to sort childcare etc then it’s another £5!
£1.99 I wouldn’t mind so much but £4.99 is a tad too much for a reasonably simple app. No matter how well it works - also I’ve noticed the cloud sync isn’t via iCloud so potentially if the developer pulls the plug then no more syncing. Handy.
Hi, unfortunately Apple doesn't allow family sharing for in app purchases, sorry. You can however export in a google calendar and share the google calendar with your family. Then there will be no additional costs for your family members.
This app is just what I was looking for, tried a few in past before finding this and they don’t compare. Found it easy to setup shifts and use, the fact I can sync up to my calendar and export shifts to pdf to share with my partner is a plus. I do love the function that I can put 2 shifts on one day, I can be moved around from place to place at short notice and to show the two places so I can go back and reference if needed is great and also make notes on the day in a comments box is ideal.
Brilliantly easy to customise
I’ve tried a few shift apps and as I’ve never worked shifts before, I needed something simple that would allow me to alter times of individual shifts. This app allows me to do that. It’s so easy to check at a glance if I’m available to pick up any extra hours and I’m also able to fill in dates that I am not able to work too making it incredibly useful. I highly recommend this app to anyone working shifts simply because it’s so customisable and easy to use.
