Tagatag lets you to post and read comments on any QR code.
Frustrated by the state of social networks, the subversion of the Internet by corporations and the rampant marketing pervasive in every mobile application, we set out to create an anti-marketing platform. We wanted to give a voice to the people -- with no points, ad campaigns or special offers attached. We wanted to let people say whatever they wanted about people, places, products and corporations without fear of compromise. We wanted to create digital graffiti with global reach.
So we created Tagatag.
Tagatag lets anyone read and write messages on any QR code out there, whether it’s on a can of soda, in a restaurant window or on your fridge.
What can you use it for? Think: Co-opting a national ad campaign by pasting your message over the brand’s, writing a joke on a bathroom wall or leaving a secret message on lamp post. If you add a QR code to a poster, mural or event flier, anyone who scans it can read your message and write a comment that will be read by anyone else who scans it in the future.
It's a simple but powerful application with an unlimited number of uses -- what you do with it is up to you. Tag a tag and make your mark.
