Tailor - Screenshot Stitching 4+

Generally fantastic but occasionally need to go to photos, delete all the images that it was getting wrong and then re-screenshot them. Not overly fussed though. This should be a built in feature for iPhones!

Today I tried to stitch horizontal screenshots but the app immediately crashes. Would be nice to have this feature although I’ve had this app for years and never actually tried it before.

This is one of those apps that does one thing and does it brilliantly.

If you have a number of screenshots that are all part of one page - for instance, a Facebook comment thread - Tailor will stitch them into one complete photo.

It's fantastic. You have to play by its rules - each screenshot should contain some overlap from the previous screenshot, so the app knows which order to put them in. So, you will take more individual screenshots but that's ok - the app works so brilliantly, it's worth that little bit of effort.

I only have one criticism, and it's something other people have mentioned: you can't manually scan for pics to stitch. Tailor scans your photos and picks what it thinks are a series of screenshots.

99% of the time that's all you need - and that's why they chose to do it that way: it just works, doing exactly what you need. Occasionally it goes wrong and you want the chance to rescan some pics, but it won't let you.

But that's not enough to lose a star: I hope they'll add the option to rescan your pics - but this is a 5-star app, because it does a brilliant job almost every single time.

I don't recommend apps option. I recommend EVERY iPhone user gets this app. You'll forget you've got it - but then you'll need it, and within a few seconds you've got a great combined screenshot, just like you wanted.

This seems to work really well on those screenshots it detects and puts together.

But it just randomly detects any you have in your photos. There's no way to manually choose the images you actually WANT to stitch if it doesn't detect them. I'd just taken a couple of screenshots 5 mins before downloading the app and it didn't detect them. That's literally the only reason I downloaded it was for those screenshots! It found a bunch from 2017 on my phone but not from just now?

The auto detection is great and could send very useful as it picked up stuff I'd forgotten about, but no manual image selection is a massive oversight! Don't try and make things so simple that it becomes useless.
