We love great coffee. We really, seriously, passionately, deeply love great coffee; and since launching in 2006, Taylor St Baristas has been at the forefront of the specialty coffee revolution in London. Our dedication to quality is evident in every cup - each one is made to the exacting standards of our Head of Coffee and World Barista Championship judge, Andrew Tolley, using the world’s finest coffees.
The Taylor St. Baristas app allows you to find your nearest store, pay with the app, collect and spend loyalty stamps, keep track of your receipts and a whole lot more.
What's new in this version:
PreOrder has landed! Skip the (morning) queue, grab your favourite coffee & you’re set! Customise your hot drink via the app, hit PreOrder and within minutes you’ll be able to collect your coffee. You can keep track of when your order is ready via the app - the PreOrder button provides a countdown functionality whilst your order is being prepared.
Payment and collecting your loyalty points are handled in the same smart way you’re used to when you use the app in-store.
ApplePay is now supported via the app. When you top up your balance, via auto-TopUp or manually, you can do so via ApplePay, provided your card is ApplePay enabled and it’s been set up in your personal Apple Wallet.

No top-up, no coffee
I have not been able to top up my account for the past 6 months or so. I have a little money left in there and two stamps but unable to continue.
I can see that the latest version is supposed to fix the issue but I just tried it and it hasn’t.
A shame really, coffee is really good, if not the best flat-white in town.

Cool new app
I love great coffee and Taylor Street serves some of the best in London. I’m also a big tech fan so I was excited to hear that Taylor Street have launched their own app. Reading some of the other reviews it sounds like wifi connectivity may be an issue, but I didn’t have any problem registering my details, credit card and so on. Seemed simple enough to me. The feature I like the most is the digital loyalty card. No more stupid bits of paper in my pocket that I always seem to lose and rarely ever redeem. Now the staff ask me if I want a free coffee (yes, please!) and I can give the money away to charity instead if I want, which is really cool. I also really like the automatic check in so that I don’t even need to take my phone out of my pocket to pay. The first time I tried it it felt a bit spooky, but then so was Uber. Now I use it every time. It’s quick, really easy and makes people look at me like I must be the owner! I’m looking forward to trying out the new Pre-Order feature so I can skip the queue completely. Given my usual rush in the morning on the way to work this could be great. All in all, I give it a big thumbs up.
Stalls and crashes
Great idea but woefully executed. Stalled on authentication a few times. I didn't allow it to use my location even when not using the app (I value the tiny amount of privacy Apple and Google have left me with) and as a result the App seems to have frozen in an indefinite quest to find a store to check me into. Just let customers choose their store or use location services while in the app.
Come on hipsters, how about a bit being a wee bit less presumptuous about the level of intrusiveness we're prepared to accept to order a cup of coffee.
