Beautiful game but disappointed
Just finished this game in about two hours. At first i was shocked by how beautiful the look, feel and sounds of this game were, stunning. First thing is that the character you play walks quite slow which when going back and forth to look for hidden pieces is a bitt of a drag however not a massive deal as i guess it just puts you into a relaxing state. The puzzles are somewhat easy however do cause you to use your brain quite similar to the way the puzzles in Monument Valley were and i thoroughly enjoyed each one even though counting them all up in the end there wasn't very many. One big thing that got me quite angry was the blossom tree you see in between chapters. The tree seems to have four main branches which at the end of each chapter you place the flower onto the corresponding branch and that branch fills with blossom. It makes you think there will be four chapters however for some reason the last chapter fills up the last two branches therefore making the number of chapters only three, which for a paid game made me feel a bit deceived and quite disappointed. If they update this game with a couple new chapters i would no doubt give 5 stars.
Beautiful and relaxing
This is one of the most beautiful games I have downloaded. It may be slow, but to me that is part of its charm, as you explore this pop up landscape and drink in its tranquility. If it was fast, or with overly complex puzzles, it would detract from what to me is part game and part relaxation app. I will be playing this again, just so I can take in its beauty and take time out for myself.
There's no word for games like this and Monument Valley, so I've had to invent one. I expect all those who've reviewed this negatively, did likewise with MV, if they played it and, to do so, is to miss the point. No, this isn't a game that requires much in the way of brainpower, nor does it sell itself as such, this is high art meets meditation, if you're looking for something more "exciting", you'll have to look elsewhere.
As it ought to advise at the start, but doesn't, headphones are STRONGLY recommended.
If you loved Monument Valley, you'll probably love this, too; if you didn't…
Ignore the naysayers, if you need a game to unwind with, then you've found it, WELL worth the £4 asking price.
